REAR BUMPER REPAIR COSTS

|Back to Information Main Page|

Most modern automobile bumpers are filmsy and do a poor job of protecting the vehicle in collisions, even at low-speeds. Most low-speed collisons occur when the driver backs into an object in a tight parking space or while curbside parking. Even though most rear bumpers are filmsy, the repair costs can be very high, expecially with SUVs and mini-vans.

Below is an abbreviated chart of estimated repair costs for automobile rear bumpers. The cost estimates were gathered from phone surveys of car dealerships and independent repair shops in metropolitan areas.
